You did say that the investigation was “in-depth,” but also that you were unsure whether the mosque had been looked into as part of that investigation. My point is that an in-depth investigation would look into the mosque.

Alleged terrorist ties to this mosque would be irrelevant to this case and subject to other agencies and investigations — ongoing FBI investigations, Homeland Security, etc. There would have to be a direct link or greater conspiracy that would tie that to this case and acceptable to the district attorney. The same applies with whatever radical speech may occur within said mosque. Unless there is a direct link to the case it is irrelevant and easily thrown out before the case would even go to trial.

Of course we could ask if there are laws againt speech that includes the promotion of honor killings. The same could be applied to other extremist religious sermons that go against current statutes.
