I used to really wonder at preachers who — this was big in the ’70s — would warn youth of the dangers of rock music played backwards — “back masking,” I believe it was called, citing Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin albums and claiming to have found “demonic messages” embedded therein.

I always thought if they listened to the records forwards that should give ‘em enough ammo for a number of sermons.
