Did you know there’s a new emigration wave of Indian Jews, just this past week. It’s a small sect, some 1000 people, I think? It came across The Twitter heh Not from Bnei Menashe, which I think is the largest?
Hm. Maybe the Mumbai community?
Mmmm. I have a few Indian Sabbath recipes somewhere.
I really like finding regional recipes and cookbooks rather than big “survey of a nation” ones because they give you a feel of what the location is like and how the food reflects the culture. A side-effect of this hobby is realizing how many distinct Jewish-community cuisines there are…all of which sound terribly tasty. My wish list currently has three seperate books on distinct communites: in Syria, in Mumbai, and Iraq.

Emigration to Israel, sorry.
No apologies needed. The various Indian communities have been making allyah since 1948, so I implicitly understood what you meant.
