It’s like how people say “the music/movies today are terrible compared to what was around back in the day”. No, there was plenty of dreck back then too, it’s just that “The Godfather” or “Exile on Main Street” stood the test of time.

We remember Maimonodes and Thomas Aquinas because they were brilliant in any era. For every one of them, I’m sure there were thousands of people who were the medieval equivalent of the creation museum dude.

Very true but let’s face it the 1970’s were a great time for movies and music.
