I’m terrible when I see roving. I want it all so I can spin it. Met a visitor when I was volunteering at El Rancho de Las Golondrinas in Santa Fe. He was from Prescott, Arizona and said that he had sheep that he shears every year and he can never find anyone to take the fleeces. He ends up throwing them away! He said he has a friend who raises alpacas who has the same problem. I gave him my name, number, and email address and told him I’d take any fleeces next time he shears and to please call me. He said he could send them to me. I told him I’d hop into the car and drive there. It’s only about 4 hours from Las Vegas. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I do get a call this spring.

I have some roving and a drop spindle and need to coordinate some time with one of the local Lizards so that I can learn how to do this. I am hopeful that I can dig out some time in the new year that isn’t chewed up by everything else.
