I could very easily such groups committing (or attempting to commit) purges or massacres against their perceived enemies - especially if/when they feel they’re losing control.

Basically, if Trump loses re-election in 2020, yeah, I could see these groups trying to start some shit.

Oh, they will—guaranteed. I think they will be surprisingly (to them) ineffectual, but there will be considerable bloodshed. But collective action is what it takes to discredit a movement in America. The Vietnam War protests have discredited the Left for 50 years.

The Vietnam-era Left killed, what? One guy? By accident? Meanwhile, right-wing terrorists have killed hundreds of people, but as long as they’re all LONE WOLVES!! nobody cares.

As soon as the gun-humpers start forming up and taking collective action, I think that’s going to get old real quick, and they’re going to get slapped down pretty easily.

But finally we’ll have something to bitch about, the way the Right has been re-litigating the Vietnam War for two generations….
