All that fancy study abroad… and this is the best you can do? Since Yiddish derives (in part) from German, therefore a certain Yiddish word “just means” the equivalent German word? Huh?
By your own logic: Since the Spanish word machete derives from the English word Manchester… therefore, the Spanish word machete “just means” an industrial city in England. QED!
