not sure where a downding would come in for reporting something I’d heard… and my friend was completely serious and very concerned… someone who’s word I trust and now there are reports of dengue fever in the US.

Wasn’t sure if you were mocking a real concern — the spread of dengue fever — by conflating it with hemorrhagic diseases and conspiracy theories. We’re not all going to start bleeding out our eyes or anything. It’s just another mosquito born disease making its way into the Americas. Partly its spread can be attributed to—you guessed it, global warming :)
