Can someone tell me what the problem is with making sure a person who wants a gun is properly trained and licensed? You have to have at least rudimentary skills to get a driver’s license,why is it such a big issue to have to meet some basic requirements for gun ownership?

You’ve got me. I don’t see anything unreasonable about expecting that someone who buys a firearm be properly trained and licensed.
