If you have retirement funds or pensions - those DJIA losses are real losses - for pensions that have funds that follow the DJIA or S&P 500 or Russell 2000, you’re seeing a real loss.

And if you’re a retiree, it’s a real loss if you’ve got a 401k or 403b.

So yeah, what happens on Wall Street affects folks on Main Street.

If you are retired, or anywhere near retirement, and you have a substantial amount of your money in stocks, you are crazy.
