re: #59 bratwurst

Here is a tech-related question for anyone who might be able to help me out with a suggestion:

As Apple has decided I can no longer have an iPod with enough capacity to hold my entire library, I would like to find a solution to be able to listen to music wirelessly from my desktop iMac through headphones. Obviously, as I currently listen to mp3s with an iPod and earbuds, I am not a mega audiophile.

It seems like Bluetooth would be the way to go My concern is that my place is large enough for me to regularly exceed the maximum range for this. Having never used Bluetooth headphones I am not sure. Can anyone shed any light on this and/or offer an alternative solution?

Non-tech answer: Classical iPod/Pop iPod/Jazz iPod.
