Advice from cooks — I have some fresh frozen fish, and I want to bake it. Do I need to defrost it first or can I just toss it into a Pyrex dish with a little water, cover it and bake from frozen?

Also, what’s the best oven temperature for that situation?

Depends on what kind of fish, whole or fillets?


If you want them baked you can make pochettes (sp). Lay the fillet out on tinfoil. sprinkle with lemon juice salt pepper, herbs. Fold the tinfoil to make a pouch. Make sure that it’s not too tight, you want the heated air to expand. Bake on 300 for maybe 15 minutes if they’re thawed. I’d guess maybe 20-25 minutes.
