What’s gonna happen to the folks who can’t afford any health insurance? Are we gonna toss ‘em in jail? Fine them? How can the gov’t make you buy a service you don’t want or can’t afford?

Of course not.
They will be fined, pay the fine and you get insurance, don’t pay the fine and it will come out of you tax refund.
If you can’t afford it there is a subsidy:
