Unfortunately, folks, there’s a fundamentalist strain of Catholicism that does espouse young earth creationism. One of the most public proponents of this insanity: Rick Santorum.

Was it he or Rick Perry who tried to liken the situation of Creationists in America with that of Gallileo?
