The point is that there is no “press 1 for English”. The fucking default is always English. Unless you’re calling Jorge’s Pizza in the barrio, ese.
The teabaggers make a xenophobic point about how much it pisses them off to have people “jabbering away” (as my xenophobic grandmother used to call it) in any language that is not English by harping on about an inconvenient phone option that simply does not exist. I have never been asked to “press 1 for English” - it’s always (in Spanish) “press 2 (or whatever) for Spanish”.
This is the kind of twit that gets upset about something that doesn’t exist.
