Wells Fargo upped by account fees some time ago (they used to be free, then up, then up.)
The problem these big banks are facing - and BofA is among the most troubled - is that their failure of due diligence in real estate has put them into a real crisis, one that doesn’t manifest itself as worse as it could since they are holding on to non-performing real estate by the billions of dollars (assigned value) rather than trying to sell them, and accept a loss.
