After a number of disappointments, I’ve concluded the only thing worth eating at most fairs is Funnel Cake.

The MN state fair has quite a lot of food that’s actually good. The problem is that it just has quite a lot of food, period, which is 1) problematic for dieting and 2) leaves room for a lot of not-so-good food, as well.
