I don’t know if the US ever really knew where the nukes were. I have heard so many contradictory reports on the Pak nuclear arsenal, I don’t know what to believe. Bush had no choice but to dump Musharraf. He was sitting on the fence in going after the Taliban & AQ, and he was intensely unpopular in Pakistan. The military is still calling the shots behind the scene. Last week, Obama announced a huge military aid package. Pakistani translation: it’s the “bribe the military so they don’t overthrow the gov’t” aid package.
