Check these out too, this is my great uncle. He was out on a carrier during the Pearl Harbor attack (lucky bastard) and was sunk 4 times between then and 1945. Still alive too.

Thanks for the book recommendations. I really need to get back reading which I was doing in previous years. WWII first hand accounts being my favorite.
