You can be sure that Pelosi and the Dem House caucus are already planning for when this gets back to the House. Boehner’s not gonna get the GOP votes to pass the amended bill, not by half. So either he’s gonna have to break the “Hastert Rule” and cut a deal with House Dems to get it passed or he’s going to be on the hook for the shutdown.

Pelosi should demand restoration of sequester cuts for democratic votes. She’ll have Boehner over a barrel.
