He’s not crazy. He’s a grifter. He knows that his audience will eat up ‘lead by a higher power’ because they believe in that sort of thing and they want to believe that they’re morally superior folks for getting their info(tainment) from ‘divine sources’.

Snake oil salesmen never went away. It’s just that our society finally got over snake oil, so now the salesmen have moved on to the next thing that stupid rubes will buy by the truckload. That thing is currently ‘unbiased newz’.

Thus is Capitalism.
