I disagree. That makes it look like she’s ditching the question. She should have said, I’m sorry, I’m speaking in another session and I don’t have time to answer right now. (which looked to be true based on attendee statements).

She should respond. But that’s not a 30 second answer, it is nuanced. Heck, I’m torn on both sides: Hamas sucks, but Israel’s response is heavy-handed. Israel makes overtures and Hamas slaps them down. Not a situation with a sound byte answer.
