Now this is weird.
Unless I’m totally reading this wrong, first ATC in Burkina Faso lost contact with an Algiers-bound airplane.
Algerian aviation authorities have lost contact with an Air Algerie aircraft en route from Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso to Algiers, about 50 minutes after take-off, the APS state news agency reported on Thursday.
But look at the “Breaking” banner on that site; it says;
Spain’s Swiftair says contact lost with Airbus A320 plane which was expected to land in Algiers; 110 passengers, six crew members on board
Is this two separate planes? Both were scheduled to land in Algiers - and it’s two separate carriers. Possibly a mid-air collision?
