The “voices of sanity” largely are falling into the “Nothing is getting done!” camp, which was pretty well addressed yesterday by Pelosi. The House is getting things done, it’s passing bills, but those bills are sitting in the Senate by order of Mitch McConnell. And this is not something that started last week, he’s been sitting on bills for months and has sworn that certain bills that we’re told impeachment is “imperiling” would never come to a vote. So yes, it’s a false dilemma, the idea that the price for legislation that was never going anywhere to begin with is letting Trump skate on his crimes until next November.
