The thing is, he’ll never see the inside of a prison even if he is convicted. The logistic implications would be too much for any institution to be able to manage. Every second he would spend in a prison would be a potential riot, started either by people who want to take him out, or those who support him. Add in the fact that, by law, he is entitled to lifetime protection from Secret Service agents and things become even more problematic.

From a security standpoint, it’s just not a realistic proposition no matter how much he deserves it.

I want to see him convicted and humiliated, but realistically, the best we’re ever going to see for Trump is home confinement and (hopefully) massive fines that leave him destitute.

Now Ivanka, Eric, and Jr……that’s a whole different ballgame.
