That’s really stretching to make a comparison.

Actually I quite like it.

Like wine, in parody there is also truth.

The CRU under Jones and the IPCC under Pachauri will go down in history as Scientology, not science.

I’m confident the resulting shake-ups unfolding in both institutions will result in this being rectified so that the comparison will no longer be accurate, though I really wonder if the IPCC will survive this intact. The CRU will also likely lose a great deal of funding and go back to being a small, back water University.
