That’s true. It’s guilt by association of course. That’s why people were/are concerned with Obama’s associations with Wright, Farrakhan, etc.

Obama was associated with Farrakhan? That’s news to me. At best it was tertiary with no interaction involved. That allegation is based on Rev. Wright giving a newsletter award to Farrakhan.
