Some good news to report this morning… I’m going back to school, courtesy the State of Michigan’s No Worker Left Behind program.

I have two years paid tuition and expenses at an accredited university to work with.

I’m considering two courses of study for which I am particularly well suited, and I’m having a hard time deciding which one to choose… your input would be greatly appreciated.

Medical Billing and Coding

Medical Transcription

I’m low income, and Medical transcription would put me to work quicker than Medical B&C, which is going to require two years of college (even less if I do a lot of the coursework online instead of attending traditional classes). Starting pay for each would be similar but the opportunity for advancement is greater with MBC. Both require certification upon completion.

Which one to choose?
