Saw U2 on Joshua Tree tour in 1987 at Houston Summit. Will see them for second time in a few months at Angels Stadium. Somehow I don’t think it will compare. The Summit (now a megachurch) was an intimate venue compared to a baseball stadium. And I’m afraid they’re gonna seem past their prime, kinda like every 40-year old basketball player in the NBA.

yeah, it always happens…I’m surprised they are doing such large venues, but like K Richards said, it’s for the fans…and I’m sure U2 will sell out their shows, if not they will have egg on their face…it’s not if they can hit all the high notes, so to speak, it’s about having that old energy, the fire to perform…fans can be forgiving when you give it your all….that’s why the Stones can keep going
