My paternal grandfather was killed in WW2 in Europe. My paternal grandmother served in the WAC. They were both āundocumented immigrantsā from Poland.
My maternal grandfather was a Marine Corp Reservist, but was not called up because he had a critical job as an engineer at Ford. My maternal grandmother and her first cousin both served in the WAC.
My father was killed in the Vietnam War in the Navy; my mother served in the Navy during the Vietnam Era.
Iām not terribly interested in being wished a āHappy Memorial Day.ā
