Clergy: ‘There will be no blood on the streets of Dearborn’

Dearborn —While court hearings were under way today to decide Terry Jones’s bid to protest outside the Islamic Center of America, religious leaders from several denominations were inside rendering their verdict: No thanks.

Charles E. Williams II, senior pastor of Detroit’s King Solomon Church described Jones, the Florida pastor who recently burned a Quran, as a man “in search of a riot, a man in search of pain, and a man in search of trouble.”

“We want to make sure everybody knows that what he’s looking for he’s not going to find,” Williams said. “There will be no blood on the streets of Dearborn, here in Michigan.”

A man in search of a riot is a great turn of phrase which describes Jones to a T.
