I’ve often wondered about what that can do to person’s psyche over a period of years. Especially if it’s a recurring condition or a daily behavior.

Heh, an MRI I had on my brain back when I was 19 changed my whole outlook on things. I was having terrible migraines. Doctor scheduled an MRI. They “found something”. For two agonizing weeks I waited. Turns out they found nothing of consequence. Had two more MRIs to be certain. All good. I now approach things from a much lighter, almost comical, point of view.
