Yesterday was a plethora of right wing radio downplaying Ferguson and false equivalences such as ‘a white kid got shot by police here, why no media?’

Any one is this is all the media’s fault, it’s not the big a deal just the media getting us worked up.

Many white people, especially conservatives, are exceptionally ignorant and downright heartless to this crap. That’s why it continues.

Keep in mind that these people see everything, and I do mean everything in zero sum culture war terms. Civil rights for non whites means their own rights are being abridged. Giving anything at all to the polictical opposition, no matter how anodyne, means they are surrendering.

This is a world view as absolutist, sterile and inimicable to our polity as anything you can find in a Wahabist madrassa.
