I have both my long and short forms. Only my short form is certified. It was the one given to me by the county as proof of citizenship, and has never been questioned by any employer I’ve submitted it to as such.

Very often the “short form” is acceptable within your state.
However, the “long form” must be produced for a passport.

I know this, I just had to go through this last year.

Obama has a passport.
He must have produced the proper documents to get it.
It is silly and ridiculous for anyone to insist that he continue to produce this documentation simply because they don’t want to accept that he is a citizen.
