I have wondered how many self-congratulatory, socially aware people who attended all the “Triangle Shirtwaist Centennial” memorials were wearing stuff from Gap and H&M.

The fact is that unless you make your own clothes from “fair trade fabrics” you buy—from someplace that sells “fair trade” fabrics, you can’t avoid sweatshop clothing.
