In my day, all we had was a PDP11 and a teletype, and we carried them uphill - both ways.

Actually I can remember using teletype terminals on the local university’s time sharing system. Fun part was running tapes of the programs we were writing. When I mean tape, I mean paper tape..god help you if you let it get unwound.
