Banks wrote the bit that repeals the Dodd-Frank provision barring banks from conducting swaps. In other words, if this bill passes, banks will once again be allowed to use our money to gamble, the same practice that caused the last recession.

Yes, that, too, but the campaign contributions provision pretty much eviscerates McCain-Feingold. I got the figures wrong—it goes from $32,400/yr to $324,000/yr. I have to quit taking the word of the TV commentators, even on MSNBC.
