Stupid question…what were Wayne Simmons’s “prior arrests and criminal convictions”?

According to the indictment, Simmons also falsely claimed on national security forms that his prior arrests and criminal convictions were directly related to his supposed intelligence work for the CIA, and that he had previously held a top secret security clearance.

And, are we to believe that no one at Faux News or anywhere else ever bothered to run a background check on this guy and never discovered his criminal record?
