Christmas is a rough time of year for many people. My mom struggles with it mightily; her dad died shortly after Christmas in 1990. She loved him dearly, and this time of year is really hard on her.

I’ve never loved Christmas. After my mom passed in 1994, I wasn’t in the spirit. I stopped putting up decorations. I was the only one to enjoy decorations. And then I didn’t enjoy them anymore.
