I think we’re talking across each other here, I didn’t say they’d stop, but that they’d lose significance as a political force.

I don’t see any signs of them losing support of the people and remember that this is a terrorist organization and it’s pretty unlikely they’d step aside as the result of losing an election. I think the “moderate” Fatah is in more danger. The only thing preventing Hamas from throwing Fatah out of the West Bank is the Israeli occupation.
