Because if they get the spending cuts they’re demanding and unemployment remains or increases, despite their claims that such cuts will motivate the private sector to start hiring again, then what have they got? Not only will they be dealing with the job losses due to the cuts, but also a failure for their promises to come true. And running on even more tax cuts for the rich, on the promise they will spur job creation, will be suicidal now that such cuts have been linked to plans to dismantle Medicare.

too many ifs…nothing is for certain but I doubt the GOP will get the cuts they demand, which is the foundation for this premise…way too many variables to make any call
