Heh. I question globalization less than I question whether an upper-level executive is actually making decisions that are worthy of having perks, options and salary worth 200 times that of the average employee. And, as pointed out repeatedly, these salaries and bonuses appear to have no connection to the actual performance of the company whereas I bet most bonuses that standard employees are eligible for (if any) are probably directly connected to the company’s bottom line in that period.

Trouble is (imo) you can fix that salary thing by cutting executive salaries. You can even spread that out among the employees. But that won’t add much in jobs, especially if those employees shop where much is from China or elsewhere. Few jobs means no housing recovery. Which is a huge drag on the financial system. Cutting executive salaries looks good. But bringing jobs home works well. Add bringing troops home before you bring the jobs home (or grow more jobs here) and you amplify your problems.
