So I just got home, and realized Obama is going to give his immigration speech, thought I might be late, and so I turned on MSNBC. I caught the end of some guy named Danny Vargas saying, “Well, we believe it’s unconstitutional, and Obama didn’t even give the new Congress a chance to work with him…” and onward about how they were planning to compromise, etc.

Is there any TV for progressives? Nobody immediately called Danny a liar, told him the Rethugs have been intransigent for many years, that there’s nothing unconstitutional, etc. Are there any tv hosts that have any moxy to call these lying Rethugs out, directly and to their face? I don’t care if they discussed this before I turned the tv on. You have to call them out every single time they use their Frank-Luntz-approved Rethug lies — every time, forcefully, right to their face.

This made me so angry that I turned it off immediately.

I’ll be watching online.

The corporate-owned news media along with Rethug lies are on the verge of ruining this country. Voter exit polls show people voted to raise minimum wage, and then voted for the Senator who is against raising minimum wage. We must have people willing to speak up every time these despots sell their claptrap on tv.

Oh, and I know the networks aren’t carrying the President’s speech, and reportedly they think it’s too ‘political’. This is a perfect example of just how perverse they are.
