Might have been. You can see his two Marshall heads stacked on their side next to the cabinets, and no bass amp in sight.

But I remember back in 1970, I was way into getting every amp and speaker cabinet I could lay my hands on and stacking them all up. Eventually I was using two Fender Deluxe Reverbs, each with a Bandmaster cabinet underneath. But prior to that I was borrowing Ampegs, Gretsches, and Kustoms and plugging them all into each other. :)

The ‘power trio’ I was in in my teens used Ampegs with speaker cabinets about the size of that Sunn bottom. I had a Slingerland kit with oversized everything. I loved the sound of those Ampegs.
