From the Washington Post article, it sounds like Cheney may be contemplating a long shot run for the GOP nomination, just so there is an anti-Trump voice in the debates if he runs again. She doesn’t need to run a third party campaign.

Third party or not, she has absolutely no chance. The GOP base loathes her.
