I could just barely understand the logic of pardoning someone like Nixon. Maybe.

But Trump is in a completely different category. He’s an unrepentant career criminal who has avoided consequences for his entire life, and now he’s actually in a position to do (even more) serious damage to the US.

Hell no. No pardon for insurrection and treason.

The most ridiculous aspect of the Nixon situation is that he was going to win the presidency in a blowout and yet his minions felt they had to commit illegal actions to help him achieve victory. Unlike Trump, Nixon actually knew history and policy and was not in it to enrich himself financially. Of course, he was responsible (directly and indirectly) for a large number of deaths in Asia due to his handling of the Vietnam war.
