the new GTI is awsome…Car and Driver raved about it…Things are slowly moving up the value ladder too…I’ve owned several VWs…I had a 67 Type 3 I really loved…right now I drive a Jetta which is getting me through my medical misery, but I’m gonna pick up a good low mile Passat soon…holy shit, what a car

The new one looks amazing, but I want to cling to mine (A 2005 1.8T) as long as I can. I got to drive a brand new Passat as a loaner when my car was being worked on (ignition coils :( ) and it was pretty astonishing, the tech in that car. And it comes in wagon form! I do love wagons.
