That law would contravene Roe V. Wade either way. Procedural question…could congress/the President actually pass a law that runs directly counter to established Supreme Court rulings? Obviously the SC strikes down lots of laws, but I’ve not heard of cases where a federal bill simply ignored a previous ruling.

Can’t a law be subject to a court challenge after being passed but before coming into effect?
