Yes. 90 degrees yesterday for the first time all summer. It might get to 90 degrees again today, but I doubt it. First time in decades that we went June and July without a 90 degree day.
It’s been a cool summer so far, but things could change in a hurry.
It’s also been a quiet Atlantic tropical season, but that could change in a hurry too. So far, no named storms, but we’ve had late seasons that ended badly - think 1992 and Hurricane Andrew. All it takes is one hurricane and you’ve got yourself a huge mess.
And that’s the problem, the quiet Atlantic is due to climate change, which we need to fix.
