McCain said today on the Today show that the rhetoric being tossed around (reload with targets by Palin etc.) was just fine, saw no problem with it.

No walking back on it at all, it represents too much of their base.

Yeah. We should all be fearful of language like “that seat is in our crosshairs” or “fire pelosi” because it’s an obvious attempt to gin up violence. The fact that those cliches have been used for generations about everything from sports to politics shouldn’t keep us from being afraid.
